The Oregon Track Club masters entered coed teams in both the masters (age 40-59) and seniors (age 60 and up) in the 2016 OTC Butte to Butte 10K race.  The race was especially competitive this year due to taking place during the Olympic trials.  2,500 runners finished the race, including a number of elite athletes.

For the team competition, the 5 fastest times, including at least one woman, were added up.  The total time for our masters team was 3:15:09, or an excellent average of 39:02 per runner.  Jennifer Fedorov, who scored as our first women, was running her very first 10K!

Our team won the Masters Coed division as the only entry.  However, we also ran faster than all 19 of the other coed teams that included younger runners.  Overall we were 5th out of 28 teams that completed the race with 5 or more finishers.  The only teams that beat us were 3 open male teams, and the pro women's team from Oiselle. 

Our senior team also won its division with a total time of 4:12:46, or an average of 50:33 per runner.  They were the only senior team to complete the race with 5 or more finishers.
